Championing Diversity
This diversity is mirrored in the Canadian Azerbaijani community, which is comprised of Azerbaijanis of various faiths and backgrounds. At NAC, we are committed to promoting and celebrating this diversity, fostering inclusion, and building bridges between cultures. By championing the unique stories and contributions of our community members, we aim to enrich Canada’s multicultural landscape and contribute to the broader dialogue on diversity and inclusion.
We are proud to host annual gala events dedicated to fostering diversity and interfaith friendships, such as the 2022 Jewish Heritage of Azerbaijan Gala at the Schwartz Reisman Centre in Thornhill, aimed at championing Muslim and Jewish coexistence. In 2024, we successfully organized and hosted our Turkic Heritage Gala Concert at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, featuring the visiting Seven Beauties Ensemble - an artistic union of seven female Turkic musicians from seven Turkic countries. The sold-out event brought together diverse communities across the GTA, diplomats, elected officials, and beautifully amplified the rich tapestry of Turkic countries around the world.
