Throughout 30 years of Armenia's UN-condemned occupation of Azerbaijan's sovreign regions, Armenian forces decimated approximately 10,000 square kilometres of Azerbaijan’s territory. Entire Azerbaijani cities, towns and hundreds of villages — once home to 750,000 Azerbaijanis, who were all forcibly displaced — were looted and razed to the ground. All semblance of life was deliberately targeted. Centuries-old cultural heritage lays destroyed.

Contrary to Mélanie Joly’s assertion, Armenia is not being ‘threatened’ by Russia, but is instead almost wholly dependent on the presence of its military for their national security.

Attempts by different interest groups to sway Canada’s policies to favour one side or the other are detrimental to Canada’s global standing.

TORONTO – The Network of Azerbaijani Canadians welcomes the end of the hostilities in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region and the capitulation of the illegal Armenian militant entity, which had occupied the sovereign Azerbaijani region since 1992.

Positive developments from the South Caucasus region regarding Azerbaijan and Armenia. Azerbaijan had offered Armenia a peace treaty based on the mutual recognition of sovereignty and territorial integrity, which was the basis of the EU-facilitated peace negotiations over the past year.
